Allyson Felix
Allyson Michelle Felix was born in Los Angeles on November 18 1985. She has a father named Paul Felix. Paul Felix is an ordained minister in the Master's Seminary, Sun Valley. Her mother Marlean Felix is a teacher at Balboa Magnet Primary School. Felix displayed a knack for athletics before she realized her athletic abilities when she attended the Los Angeles Baptist High School. Felix finished second in the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championships after only 10 weeks, after the first time she tried out. Felix has graduated high school in 2003, signed the sports contract with Adidas. Then she attended college at the University of Southern California and completed her studies in elementary education. Felix was awarded her first Olympic Medal in the 2004 Summer Olympics which took place in Athens Greece. She set a Junior World Record by sprinting 200 meters in 22.18 seconds. She was the youngest world winner in the 200m at the Helsinki World Championships and defended her title again in 2007, beating her long-time Jamaican opponent Veronica Campbell. Felix had a steady performance in Beijing, London Rio de Janeiro, as well as Tokyo. She was consistently at the top of the podium in every event.
