Allyson Felix
Allyson Michel Felix was born on November 18, 1985 in Los Angeles. The father of the child, Paul Felix is an ordained Minister in the Master's Seminary, Sun Valley. Her mother Marlean Felix is a teacher at Balboa Magnet Primary School. Felix was a natural athlete and developed a passion to sprint in the sprints at Los Angeles Baptist High School. Within 10 weeks of her initial tryout, she placed third in the 200 meter event at the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. Felix finished high school and signed an agreement to Adidas. In 2004, she enrolled in an institution called the University of Southern California, in the area of elementary education. Felix received her first Olympic gold medal during the Athens Summer Olympics 2004. Felix broke a junior-world record in the 200-meter race with a time of 22.18. In 2005, she was the world's youngest champion in 200 meters in the Helsinki World Championships. She won the title again in 2007, defeating her longtime Jamaican opponent Veronica Campbell. Felix participated in her first Olympics during Beijing London Rio de Janeiro and Tokyo consistently placing within the top three places in all her races.
